A catch-all functionality that is activated for a given e-mailbox will allow you to receive email messages that are sent to addresses that do not actually exist. To put it differently, if you disable an email address and somebody still sends a message to it, or to any misspelled address under the exact same domain, you will get the message in the catch-all mailbox. Using this feature implies that you won’t miss an email for any reason, which could be essential if you run a company, for instance. Since you may start receiving spam emails, you can use the catch-all option with anti-spam filters in order to get only authentic emails in your inbox. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for a catch-all mailbox.
Catch-all Emails in Website Hosting
In case you’ve got a Linux website hosting service
with us and you would like to activate the catch-all option for a specific email mailbox that you’ve got in your account, it will take literally only a single click of the mouse in the Email Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel to achieve this. A catch-all button is available on the right-hand side of each email address that you have created under any domain hosted in the account. You can choose one single address per domain name by clicking the respective button. This will activate the feature instantly, so all emails sent to misspelled email addresses will be delivered there. Clicking on the button once more will deactivate the catch-all feature. If you have enabled email forwarding, our system will exhibit a warning notification and you won’t be able to activate the catch-all feature unless you remove the forwarding or you can simply pick some other mailbox to be the catch-all one.
Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting
The custom-developed Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each and every semi-dedicated server
package that we’re offering will allow you to create a catch-all mailbox easily even if you do not have much email/web hosting experience. All you need to do to achieve that is click on the catch-all icon, which will be to the right of each mailbox that you have set up using your domains in the Email Manager section of the hosting Control Panel. Since you can have only one single mailbox with this feature per domain name, our system will warn you if you’ve already set up another catch-all mailbox or if the one that you want to use has email forwarding enabled. In case you reach the decision that you don’t want this feature any longer, you can deactivate it by clicking again on the same icon. The Email Manager section will also allow you to view your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
